I finally made it up to San Francisco! I had been once when I was a wee one – barely remember it – so I’ve been itching to go for a while. Luckily for us, one of Derek’s bestest friends live in San Fran and were oh-so-kind to be our tour guides for the weekend. We didn’t do anything too touristy. I take that back, we did Lombard street and visited the California Academy of Sciences – the place is incredible!! Claire loved, no I mean L-O-V-E-D the aquarium. She had her “big eyes” on the whole time! We might have to get her a fish tank now. Yeah, we know she’s bound to be a spoiled princess
Our hike through Muirwoods was super relaxing – nice to see some greenery for a change. Picnicked at Crissy Field. Ate ah-mazing food (specially from Lucca Delicatessen) and had outstanding company with us the entire time.
The downside to San Fran? It was cold! Like low sixty cold – so we chased the sun in the pockets it was shining! Overall, it was a successful trip. Claire even did great on the drive to and fro. Until the last hour. She’s a trooper! Now we stay put for a while in attempt to try to get some sort of “normal” routine started…
Matt & Helen, you guys rock – go pull a turnip.
