“With her hand fit into mine
like puzzle pieces,
and her soft head
eased warmly onto
the bones of my shoulder,
the most soothing epiphany
washed over me;
people, better than places,
make the perfect home.”.
Let me start by providing you with a checklist of what you need in order to proceed:
Desire to see two gorgeous specimens of the human species
More importantly, the desire to see above mentioned people be totally in love
A blanket (maybe this one only applies to me. I suffer from chronic coldness.)
A full cup of coffee or tea – its a long one!
Prepare your EYEBALLS for some stuff thats gonna make you go whaaa? and aww and oh.em.gee.
I guess you can say that this couple totally brought their awesome with them…there was such ease and, just happy, between Hayley and Collin. Aaaand. they each chose jaw-dropping & intimate locations…
Hers: The Longmont airport hangar that she grew up at whilst her dad built airplanes as a hobby (what?! Gangsta.)
His: An off-the-beaten path spot for some fly fishing. The place was so awesome that I didn’t charge them the “I got wet and cold” fee.
Can’t wait till their wedding next year! No doubt they’ll be bringing the awesome then too. xx.
They are the loveliest people for miles and miles. Seriously, I have no idea how I got so lucky to have such aaaaaamazing clients. But I am way glad I am! Andy and Davona were a pleasure to photograph and I could have photographed them for hours; had the mosquitoes not been so attracted to the sweetness in the air from these two, I probably would have. I cannot wait until their wedding in just a few weeks – Davona is a craft and sew queen and is making a whole lot of homemade goodies for the wedding – which makes me giddy.
Andy made his own homebrew which they enjoyed during our session! :) And we unfortunately didn’t have enough time for the accordion to make an appearance, which is way sad, but hopefully the accordion will come around again in a future session.
Davona & Andy – you guys are awesome and am so excited that I get to be a part of your special day as your memory keeper. xx.
Just a little photography note (since I have been getting quite a few questions lately and its easier to answer them here): I do not use external light sources, just the big one in the sky (which this afternoon was producing a ton of heat that just seemed to be magnified through the clouds), I shot both film and digital (D800) and processed with my own mix of “actions” that I created for this session since I wanted a slightly more editorial feel along with some other pre-made ones.
