March 4, 2015 · Workshop

You have this great camera that you’d love to get out of manual, and start creating epic images of your kids with, right? Well, this workshop will focus on building a strong foundation on the basic functions of your camera to start shooting in full control manual. We will go over how to properly expose images in both an indoor and outdoor setting. We will also explore focusing, simple posing, finding the right light and how to create a story with images.

There will also be a mini session at the end so you can put all of your new skills to practice. I will be there to answer any questions that may arise. All of this plus some awesome fun, laughter, pastries and getting to meet other amazing people!

This workshop requires you have your own DSLR camera. This is NOT a business workshop on how to make photography a career nor will any editing be covered. There will be a strong emphasis on kids photography.

“I feel so ready to capture all my grandbabies in beautiful ways! I always wanted a nice camera but was so disappointed that I wasn’t getting what I wanted (too dark, too yellow, whatever). But now I know the ways! Thank you so very much, Erika!!! It was a great time!”

“Thank you so much for taking the time today to teach me how to use my fancy camera.  I feel empowered and ready to capture beautiful moments thanks to you!”
