“And the day came when the risk to remain tight in a bud was more painful than the risk it took to blossom.”

― Anaïs Nin

I love this session. Alicia was amazing through out the afternoon, although it ended up being a pretty cloudy afternoon she lit up the world around her. The sun did shine for about 2.375 minutes – and we took full advantage of that.

But perhaps my favorite part of the session was that Alicia was doing it for herself. She had the originally asked me to do head shots for her for a more robust and vavoom resume; but then she wanted to play. A girl needs no excuse to have a photo of themselves that makes you do a double take. I love that I can provide that through photography. Because a good photo of yourself, one that allows you to see a glimpse of something extraordinary that you missed that morning in the bathroom mirror…well, that photo can do a lot.
